Third-Party Security Certification

The ThinData EMS technology systems have achieved SysTrust Security Certification. The certification and seal – which are administered solely by the American and Canadian chartered accountant institutes – verify that all ThinData EMS systems have undergone an extensive and rigorous audit. Achieving SysTrust Certification in the area of security demonstrates that ThinData EMS systems have:
  • Effective security policies;
  • Procedures to achieve security system objectives; and
  • Controls in-place to ensure that security policies are maintained.
ThinData is the first Email Service Provider (ESP) in the world to have successfully passed the stringent audit.

Highest Sender Standards and Best Practices

This Habeas Certified Sender Seal is granted only to those firms who have successfully achieved Habeas' rigorous email certification process. Such certification means that ThinData is included on the Habeas Safelist, which is used by Internet Service Providers (ISPs) and Anti-Spam Organizations to identify senders who adhere to the strictest permission-based standards and best practices.

As part of the certification, Habeas reviewed all of ThinData’s standards and practices. As a result, all emails deployed through the ThinData EMS™ (Email Marketing System) are certified by Habeas and are more likely to be received within the inbox of the intended recipient.

Limit Access

We limit access to your accounts to only the people that need access.

Staff Training and Education

All ThinData staff are trained to comply with our security and privacy processes.

Onsite Security

Our data-centre is on our premises and is third-party certified secure.

Encryption and Data Integrity

We make sure that every online communication with our clients meets our high standards of privacy and security. ThinData uses 128-bit encryption to protect user authentication, verification and sensitive information. SSL technology has been implemented throughout ThinData's system, ensuring information exchanges and transactions including authentication, passwords, and contact lists are protected. Any customer contact information provided to us is encrypted by a secure server, and we take the strong measures available to protect all customer data against unauthorized access.

The secure environment ensures that your personally identifiable information is protected from unauthorized access, use or disclosure.

Usage

ThinData will not use your customer contact list or any other customer information for any other purpose than those intended by the service, nor will your customer information be shared with any other parties. ThinData will not use your customer information for the purpose of sending unsolicited commercial e-mail.

Double Opt-In

ThinData.com and ThinData EMS is a permission-based system that adheres to a double opt-in procedure. A double opt-in procedure ensures only legitimate subscribers are entered into the system. This prevents individuals from receiving unwanted emails due to another party falsely entering the individual's email address.

Before any sensitive information is gathered or transmitted individuals must confirm their request at two stages. Initially, subscribers sign into the EMS via an online form (entering their email address and other relevant information). Then subscribers receive an email from the system containing an embedded link with a unique token. When the subscriber clicks on the link, the system will confirm the email address is valid and the EMS will activate the account. A subscriber can opt out of receiving information at any time.

Binding Agreements

ThinData will sign NDAs and SLAs when appropriate.
